Botanica Gardens
If you want to find peace and oneness with plants
and water then this garden is for you. Chris Olsen has designed a
paradise surrounded and hidden by Green Giant Arborvitaes. As you enter
the garden swallowed up by a green wall of privacy you then turn the
corner into a hidden surreal courtyard. The center of your attention is
a antique raised fountain covered with ferns, flowers of every kind and
a few plant species that will surprise everyone. Seat on a bench and
listen to the pea gravel under your feet and the sound of water as you
smell the wonderful sweet scents of hyacinths, daffodils, and English
Primroses. For a unexpected twist Chris Olsen has designed and planted
a few plants that you may have never seen before in Arkansas but thrive
in our climate. Be prepared to be amazed!!!!!!!!!!

Woodland Gardens
Garvan Woodland
Gardens will present 'Gardens and Children: Growing Healthy Together'.
Living Nature equates to loving Nature and being out of doors is healthy
both mentally and physically. The Gardens create a display featuring
landscapes representing quintessential places where childhood meets Nature.
Primary colors, a woodland streamside scene, and rustic garden architecture
combine to illustrate that 'Gardening is Healthy' and inspire parents to
encourage children to learn the value of outdoor activity early in life.

A peaceful garden room awaits you
as you contemplate the world and its complexities. Sit and listen to the
gentle stream as it flows through ancient petrified stumps to a quiet pool.
A setting enclosed by the earth itself has been adorned with cool,
shade-loving plants that soothe the soul.
Ozark Folk Center
State Park
This year, the Ozark Folk
Center’s Heritage Herb Garden design illustrates that gardening is
healthy for Arkansas. If the health of our citizens was suddenly
dependent on only the resources available within our state’s
borders, we could feed ourselves well. We have a temperate climate,
fertile soil and abundant water. We only have to know how to raise
plants and be willing to do it. The Ozark Folk Center’s garden will
include a map of Arkansas, a healthy patch of vegetables and a home
with an herb garden with plant specimens that support good health. A
figure working in the garden will illustrate that gardening is
healthy because of the exercise, sunshine, fresh air and mental
stimulation the gardener experiences.
